What I offer

I work with individuals on a one to one basis, however what this might look like will depend on your needs.

It could include the following:

  • assessment (using a number of tools we will try and clarify what is contributing to areas of difficulty)

  • single solution focused session (we prioritise a particular question or goal over the course of one extended session)

  • a time limited approach (e.g. number of weeks/months or number of sessions) using a particular therapy such as compassion focused therapy or EMDR as our main focus

  • open ended therapy using a combination of modalities including but not limited to psychodynamic, person centred and cognitive behavioural therapies

Types of therapy

As a psychologist I am fortunate to be able to offer my clients a range of therapeutic modalities to support the work that we do together. Based on what you want to work on and what you bring to each session I will integrate different approaches to suit your needs.

The basis of our work together will always be compassionate, person-centred and trauma informed. A psychodynamic lens helps me to help you better understand yourself, your relationships and how you view the world.

Other approaches:

  • CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)

  • EMDR and attachment focused EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing

  • mindfulness

  • CFT (compassion focused therapy)

  • ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy)

  • DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy)

  • ERP (exposure and response prevention)

Supervision and consultancy

I offer clinical supervision to trainee and qualified practitioners. I also offer consulting services to support small to medium sized businesses. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.

Areas of interest

  • Perinatal period: I have a particular interest in working with individuals in the perinatal period (individuals who are currently pregnant or who have recently given birth) or those who want to give space to their experience of the perinatal period (even if it has been a long time since you've been in this phase of life). For more information see the Perinatal page.

  • Adverse childhood experiences and (early) trauma:  Life is hard. However, for some people this statement is an epic understatement. If you feel you are experiencing a difficult, maybe even traumatic, time in your life, or if you have had a difficult upbringing, I integrate different approaches to ensure you can safely give space to potentially some of the darkest times in your life and to find a way through to a lighter time.

  • Multiculturalism: Are you an expat, third culture kid, or is your life influenced in other ways by multiple cultures? Get in touch so we can explore questions of identity and belonging together.

I'm here for you. Get in touch.
